The Teen Bipolar Support Group is a place to find friends who are like you, people who understand you and to discover more about yourself. The group is a place where you can get motivation to follow your treatment plans and find out how to work with professionals to make sure the treatment of bipolar does not make the rest of your life more difficult.
The group is a place where you can learn that your mood disorder is just one piece of who you are and you can take pride in the good things that come from being bipolar even though so much focus of the outside world is on the bad.
The group is also a place where you can reach out to other teens with bipolar and learn from those who have walked a mile or two in your shows.
We believe that teens should have their space, their own place to share their stories and learn from each other. We believe that teens should have a safe place to share, with no worries about their feelings getting them in trouble or otherwise coming back to haunt them.
We believe that medication management and psychotherapy are important parts of living with bipolar disorder but we also feel that learning from others who are in your age group and who have the same illness provides enormous benefits.
If you would like to participate in the group, you can just show up at the time and dates mentioned below or you can contact us. Feel free to take advantage of the resources on this site to learn any information you need to know.
